Our Partner Missionaries

Our Church Council has adopted these three missionary families as our partner missionaries. As we yearn to be a “GLOCAL” church in serving the Kingdom locally and globally, we stand grateful for our partnership with our partner missionaries.

Carlos and Kimberley Verhulst

Carlos and Kimberley Verhulst have been serving in Jarabacoa, Dominican Republic for the past several years. They now serve in the village of Crucero. Their heart and prayer has always been to disciple and raise up Kingdom workers to better serve pastors and leaders in churches and communities. They have been specifically serving La Vid Church and neighboring communities, targeting underserved and rural communities that have little to no resources. Carlos and Kimberley love to use the image of a table. They are prayerful that they can hold space for people to come together for the furthering of God’s Kingdom! Both Carlos and Kimberley have gone through a lot of battles in their personal lives - but their perseverance in holding onto the Lord has been a powerful testimony for those they encounter!

Fun Fact: Kimberley’s father, Pastor Ken served our church as lead pastor from 1985 to 2006!

Abe and Elaine Lee

Abe and Elaine Lee have been serving with Resonate Global Mission, our denomination’s mission agency for the past 25+ years. Abe currently ministers in Ciudad Juarez, as he teaches current and future Kingdom Workers through Seminario Todas Las Naciones. Elaine also currently serves as the Global Coffee Break Leader in Mexico. With various discipleship training, and teaching ministries both Abe and Elaine stay busy traveling in and around Central America as they continue to serve God’s Kingdom near and far. Abe and Elaine are parents to three adult children.

Fun Fact: Abe grew up in Paraguay so Spanish is a lot more comfortable than English!

Steve and Sandra Brauning

Steve and Sandra Brauning have been serving in the Dominican Republic for over 30+ years! Steve and Sandra serve alongside ministry partners: the Christian Reformed Church in the Dominican Republic, and Sinergia Leadership Foundation - who focus on providing quality Christian Education to more than 3,500 students in marginalized communities. Educators at heart and practice, Steve and Sandra continue to impact students, schools, churches in ways beyond imagination!

Fun Fact: CCCEI has been supporting the Brauning family for 30+ years!

Fun Fact 2: Steve plays a mean bass guitar for the church worship team!
